I’m so excited to officially welcome McCredie Partners to the Country to Coast EA family – though calling David “new” doesn’t quite fit because we’ve just wrapped up his first contract, already partnered for 2026, and I’ve known him for nearly 15 years.
If you don’t know David is the Managing Director of McCredie Partners: a boutique Government Affairs and Corporate Advisory firm delivering sharp, strategic insights to help private sector clients navigate the Australian market. In simple terms, they’re doing seriously meaningful work. And, that’s my jam.
There’s always a risk when you start working with someone you already know – will it be the same, and how have they changed? But from day one, stepping back into working with David felt completely natural. We first crossed paths at the UK Foreign Office, and that professional connection has stood the test of time.
There’s something genuinely special about reuniting with former colleagues, particularly when your professional values match, you have deep respect for them and you share a vision for purposeful work.
When I saw he’d launched his own firm, I was absolutely one of the first people in his inbox….and then stayed there…enthusiastically awaiting a reply…for quite some time.
After onboarding, David and I jumped on one of our regular calls and he said, “I’ve literally had the best week.” For the first time in ages, he had space. Space to think. Space to make calls. Space to book in coffees. Space to “push his business forward”. No more managing all the moving pieces on his own. Right there – that’s the magic and value of a strategic Executive Assistant.
Working with David comes with a touch of nostalgia too. It’s taken me back to my Foreign Office days which were some of my fondest career memories. I’ve reconnected with familiar faces and found myself working on the UK/Australia relationship again, which feels like coming full circle.
We’re ending 2025 having built a really solid foundation from which to grow from next year. I’m grateful for the trust, the familiar face and most of all, for the chance to support a business that’s genuinely making an impact.
Here’s to building something great, together.
